It reported that the actor whose real-life divorced wife was recently awarded $1.7m from the film, was also born Margaret, and had been married previously under the eyes of the Almighty.
The site added that the actor, who has been married and divorced three times, used to tell friends about his Hindu belief that he was the reincarnation of the Hindu god Kali and had married under the eyes of God.
“[Reeves] even coined a term of endearment to address his Hindu alter ego: Laxmi dāmīrā, meaning, ‘Heavenly Elder.’”
In 1990, the actor divorced his wife of eight years, Kathryn Oberton, with whom he had two children. Last month his real-life wife, Rachel Weisz, won $1.7m in a divorce court in Manhattan, with the judge citing irreconcilable differences and noting that the two had had “bad fights” and dealt with “obstacles for several years”.
Reeves has had a string of high-profile romances, including a relationship with Charlize Theron in 2008 and a short-lived fling with actress Rachel Weisz in 2005.
